Emera to build C$350-mln LNG pipeline
TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian energy firm Emera Inc. <EMA.TO> said on Tuesday it will invest around C$350 million to build a pipeline linking the planned Canaport liquified natural gas import terminal near Saint John, New Brunswick to markets in Canada and the U.S. Northeast.
The company said the 145-kilometre long Brunswick Pipeline will travel through southwest New Brunswick and connect with the U.S. portion of the Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline at the U.S.-Canada border near Baileyville, Maine.
The construction is planned to begin in 2007 and should be completed by late 2008.
