Engineers will study a portion of the Prudential Tunnel ceiling that runs underneath the Hynes convention center.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority board yesterday voted to hire an engineering firm to repair the deteriorating concrete ceiling in the Prudential Tunnel under the Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center, and to determine whether it should be removed or replaced.
