TULSA, Okla.—An American Airlines jet has made an emergency landing at Tulsa International Airport because of an apparent problem with the hydraulics system.

American spokesman Tim Smith says flight 1745 was en route from Chicago to Los Angeles Friday with 152 passengers and a crew of six when a hydraulics system warning light went off.

The Boeing 757 landed safely about 11:30 a.m.

Tulsa Airports Authority spokeswoman Alexis Higgins says the passengers will be placed on other flights.
