Closing Glance: Aerospace stocks finish week on a high note

NEW YORK—Shares of aerospace and defense companies rose Friday, ending a week in which several companies reported better-than-expected first-quarter results.

Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Boeing and L-3 Communications, among others, posted strong results this week.

Here are Friday's results for a few key stocks in the sector:

Boeing Co., up $1.84, or 2.2 percent, to $84.84.

General Dynamics Corp., up $2.22, or 2.5 percent, to $90.92.

Rockwell Collins Inc., up $2.08, or 3.3 percent, to $64.44.

Precision Castparts Corp. picked up $5.38, or 4.7 percent, to $120.59.
