NEW YORK—Shares of major beverage makers fell late Friday, in line with the broader market after a consumer sentiment reading dropped to its lowest level since the early 1980s.
A Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. analyst also maintained a "Hold" rating on PepsiCo Inc. in the wake of its first-quarter earnings report, noting weakness in its domestic business.
How shares of some major beverage makers performed:
PepsiCo Inc. fell 38 cents to close at $67.62.
Coca-Cola Co. dropped 92 cents to $59.33.
Molson Coors Brewing Co. lost 25 cents to $54.66.
Anheuser-Busch Cos. fell 14 cents to $47.15.![]()
