Thomson Reuters names Harrington, Villa to lead foundation

NEW YORK—Thomson Reuters, a provider of business information, on Monday named Richard Harrington chairman for its charitable foundation.

Harrington is a former president and chief executive of Thomson.

Monique Villa, a former managing director at Reuters Media, was named chief executive of the foundation.

The foundation is a charity that aims to advance education, humanitarian aid and environmental issues.

Thomson Reuters was formerly known as Thomson Corp. It changed its name to Thomson Reuters after its acquisition of Reuters Group PLC closed earlier this month.
