NEW YORK—Shares of insurers mostly rose early Tuesday despite broader markets declining slightly as the Federal Reserve Board is set to kick off two days of meetings and new foreclosure and home price data continues to show the housing market is weakening.
How shares of some major insurers are performing:
Bond insurer Ambac Financial Group Inc. rose 16 cents to $4.32.
Mortgage insurer MGIC Investment Corp. rose 11 cents to $13.07.
American International Group Inc. rose 39 cents to $47.43.
Cincinnati Financial Corp. fell 14 cents to $37.81.![]()
