NEW YORK—Shares of many agricultural chemical companies rose on Thursday, following Wall Street higher as investors found comfort in lower oil prices and a rising U.S. dollar.

On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve lowered key interest rates by a quarter-point to monitor inflation, which gave the dollar a boost.

Here's how shares of major agricultural chemical companies fared Thursday:

DuPont Co., up 3 cents to $48.94.

Dow Chemical Co., up 25 cents to $40.40.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc., down 79 cents to $183.16.

Mosaic Co., up 4 cents to $122.55.
