SAN JOSE, Calif.—Power producer Calpine Corp. said Friday it has named Todd W. Filsinger interim chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Previously, Filsinger, 46, served as head of the company's commercial operations.
Filsinger will also retain his current responsibilities as a managing partner at PA Consulting Group, the company said.
Additionally, Calpine said its search for a new chief executive "is under way and is progressing well."
Calpine said in February that CEO Robert P. May planned to step down once a successor is in place.
Shares of Calpine, which emerged from bankruptcy protection in January, added 34 cents to close at $20.26.![]()
