Harleysville names Majewski president, operating chief

HARLEYSVILLE, Pa.—Harleysville Life Insurance Co. named Theodore Majewski president and chief operating officer, replacing William Shelow, the Pennsylvania insurer said Monday.

Shelow left the company effective immediately, a company spokesman said.

Majewski has been head of operations at the insurer's personal insurance lines since 2003.

Shares of parent company Harleysville Group Inc. fell 14 cents to $36.47 in midday trading.
