NEW YORK—Shares of apparel makers finished mixed Tuesday, while the broader market rose as investors shook off rising oil prices and laid bets that the economy and companies are in recovery mode.
How some apparel makers performed:
Jones Apparel Group added 19 cents to $17.15.
VF Corp. fell 98 cents to $74.95.
Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. fell 3 cents to $60.73.
Liz Claiborne Inc. climbed 50 cents, or 2.8 percent, to $18.57.
