NEW YORK—Shares of broadline retailers closed lower Monday following the broader market as investors were disappointed when Microsoft withdrew its bid for Yahoo Inc.
Microsoft withdrew the bid after the two companies could not agree on a sale price.
Here's how broadline retailers fared on Monday:
Wal-Mart Stores Inc., down 53 cents to $56.97.
Target Corp., down 72 cents to $53.19.
Sears Holdings Corp., down $3.14 to $100.08.
BJ Wholesale Club Inc., down 38 cents to $38.51.![]()
