Closing Glance: Construction, engineering shares mostly rise

NEW YORK—Shares of construction and engineering companies rose Tuesday as a BMO Capital Markets analyst raised his outlook on Granite Construction Inc. and a Stifel Nicolaus analyst predicted Quanta Services Inc. would meet estimates ahead of its first-quarter results expected Wednesday.

Here's how some shares of construction and engineering firms fared:

Granite Construction Inc., up 62 cents, or 2 percent, to $32.06.

Quanta Services Inc., down 18 cents to $26.34.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc., up $1.83 to $90.91.

Emcor Group Inc., up 63 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $26.54.
