Opening Glance: REITs slip amid quarterly losses

NEW YORK—Shares of real estate investment trusts fell early Tuesday amid quarterly losses from companies including mortgage lender Fannie Mae and homebuilder D.R. Horton Inc.

Escalating oil prices also weighed on the broader market.

Here's how some REITs performed shortly after the market opened:

SL Green Realty Corp. fell 94 cents $98.50.

Brookfield Properties Corp. dipped 18 cents to $20.83.

Boston Properties Inc. dropped 73 cents to $101.64.

Kimco Realty Corp. slipped 37 cents to $41.02.
