Opening Glance: Shares of commercial banks mostly slide
NEW YORK—Commercial bank stocks mostly fell Tuesday morning as Wall Street reacted to sharp losses at Swiss banking giant UBS AG, D.R. Horton Inc. and Fannie Mae.
Here's how some shares of commercial banks are trading:
National City Corp., up 4 cents to $6.31.
Wachovia Corp., down 71 cents, or 2.4 percent, to $29.07.
First Horizon National Corp., down 16 cents to $10.96.
Zions Bancorp., down $1.13, or 2.3 percent, to $47.18.![]()
