BlackRock President Robert Kapito sells 50,000 shares

NEW YORK—A president of financial services company BlackRock Inc. sold 50,000 shares of common stock, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings Monday.

In Form 4s filed with the SEC, Robert Kapito reported he sold the shares Thursday for $204 to $206.60 apiece.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

BlackRock is based in New York.
