Clean Harbors raises 2008 revenue guidance after strong 1Q

NORWELL, Mass.—Waste management services provider Clean Harbors Inc. on Wednesday raised its full-year revenue guidance following strong first-quarter results.

The company said it now expects 2008 revenue to rise 8 percent to 10 percent, compared with previous guidance for growth of 6 percent to 10 percent. The new range implies revenue of $1.02 billion to $1.04 billion.

Analysts polled by Thomson Financial predict revenue of $1.04 billion.

For the second quarter, Norwell, Mass.-based Clean Harbors expects revenue of $260 million to $263 million. Analysts predict revenue of $263.3 million.

In premarket trading, Clean Harbors shares rose $1.10 to $66.75.
