NEW YORK—Shares of aerospace and defense companies rose Thursday, with gainers including General Dynamics Corp. and Precision Castparts Corp.

Here are daily results for a few key stocks in the sector:

General Dynamics, up $1.78 to $91.46.

Precision Castparts rose $1.35 to $126.66.

Goodrich Corp. rose 90 cents to $67.60.

Rockwell Collins Inc. rose $1.02 to $63.42.
