CARMEL, Ind.—ITT Educational Services Inc., a for-profit technical education company, on Thursday lifted its 2008 earnings outlook above expectations after growth in student enrollment boosted second-quarter results.
ITT raised its yearly profit forecast to $4.65 per share to $4.75 per share, compared with lower prior expectations of $4.10 per share to $4.60 per share.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect $4.48 in earnings per share for the year.
Separately, growth in new and existing student enrollment boosted second-quarter 31 percent, topping Wall Street expectations.![]()
