Travelzoo names Holger Bartel new CEO

NEW YORK—Travelzoo Inc., a travel information Web site, said Wednesday it has named Holger Bartel its new chief executive officer effective Oct. 1.

Travelzoo said Ralph Bartel, its current chief executive and brother of Holger Bartel, will continue to serve as chairman of the board. Ralph Bartel said the change will allow him to focus on the company's overseas business growth.

Holger Bartel, 41, served as the company's executive vice president from 2001 to 2007 and vice president of sales and marketing from 1999.

Travelzoo shares were down 3 cents to $7.54 in midday trading.
