Stung by falling sales of optical networking products, Sycamore Networks Inc. will lay off 30 percent of its workforce, or about 140 employees, while Acushnet Co. plans to lay off 169 workers, due to a sharp drop in sales of its Titleist golf balls. (Full article: 249 words)
