Some cash with your coffee?
Citizens Bank has opened the first ever full-service branch inside a Dunkin’ Donuts shop so consumers can have a one-stop shop for their banking and bakery needs. Located at 815 South Main St. in Bellingham, the branch features three teller windows and a full-service ATM and is open for business seven days a week.
“Citizens Bank is committed to convenience,’’ Martin Bischoff, who heads consumer and business banking at Citizens Financial Group, said in a statement.
Citizens is offering customers at the branch a $50 discount on home equity loans, a one-month coffee subscription for new checking accounts, and a raffle for one year of free Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.
Citizens Bank and Dunkin’ Donuts executives are hosting an event to celebrate the opening on Oct. 29 that will feature a “Cash Cube’’ in which visitors have a chance to win as much cash as they can catch.
“Dunkin’ Donuts strives to identify ways to make life more convenient for busy people on the go,’’ John Dawson, chief development officer for Dunkin’ Donuts, said in a statement.
A spokesman for the Canton coffee chain said the Bellingham store is a test and no other banks are planned at this time. Meanwhile, Dunkin’ in the past year has scaled back its presence inside Stop & Shop supermarkets.
