PROVIDENCE, R.I.—Rhode Island will allow a struggling slot parlor in Lincoln to offer gambling around-the-clock.

Twin River spokeswoman Patti Doyle said Wednesday that the facility hasn't decided when its schedule will change. State Lottery Director Gerald Aubin authorized the expanded hours earlier this week.

The video slot machines at the gambling hall provide the state's third-largest source of income. They're already open around-the-clock on weekends and holidays.

Twin River's owners filed for bankruptcy protection in June while struggling to repay a half-billion dollars in debt. Gov. Don Carcieri agreed to support 24-hour gambling as part of a restructuring plan.
