BAE wins $123 million Army contract
LEXINGTON — BAE Systems said yesterday that it has landed a $123 million contract to build thermal weapon sights for the US Army. The sights let users see through smoke, fog, and other visual distortions on the battlefield.
The latest order brings the total value of all of the defense contractor’s thermal weapon sight contracts to more than $1 billion since 2004, BAE said.
The company recently received a $14 million contract to provide the sights for the Canadian army.
