MILFORD — Waters Corp., a maker of scientific instruments, said yesterday that third-quarter profit increased by 25 percent as revenue rose, partly on demand for new products.
The Milford company earned $94.7 million, or $1.02 cents per share, compared with $75.9 million, or 79 cents per share, in the same period a year ago.
Excluding one-time items, Waters earned 98 cents per share, beating the average forecast of analysts polled by Thomson Reuters by 1 cent.
