A Dunkin’ Donuts employee has accused managers of sharing in wait staff tip pools at stores in Beverly, Topsfield, and Ipswich, according to a lawsuit filed in Essex Superior Court.

Jean A. Myers said in the complaint that wait staff at the stores operated by franchise owner Dinart Serpa have not been permitted to retain all of the tips from customers. Instead, employees have been required to pool their tips with workers who are not eligible to participate in wait staff pools, including managerial employees.

Andrew Mastrangelo, a spokesman for Dunkin’ Brands Inc., said the company does not comment on lawsuits.
