DEVENS — American Superconductor Corp. said yesterday it received an order for more than $10 million in wind turbine electrical control systems from the South Korean company Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Ltd.

American Superconductor said it will ship the electrical control systems to Doosan between the middle of this year and mid-2012. American Superconductor said Doosan is its seventh customer to place a large production order for wind turbine electrical control systems over the past year. Doosan’s 3-megawatt pilot wind power project has been in operation at Korea’s Jeju Island since October 2009.

Shares of American Superconductor fell 93 cents to $28.61.
