Consumers in Boston are feeling less optimistic about the economy and their personal finances than shoppers nationally, yet plan to spend more on holiday gifts than the US average. That’s according to the 26th holiday survey from the professional services firm Deloitte. Compared to national respondents, fewer Boston consumers said they feel that their finances are better than last year, while more said they feel about the same. Area consumers said they plan to spend about $1,141 on holiday purchases.
