CHICAGO—Boeing Co. said on Tuesday that it delivered one of its new 747-8 freighters to Cathay Pacific Airways.
The Hong Kong-based airline has 10 of the new superjumbo freighters on order with Boeing.
Boeing delivered the first of the new 747-8s to Cargolux last month. It is longer and more fuel-efficient than the older versions of the 747 that it replaces. Boeing also plans a passenger version of the 747-8.
Boeing shares fell $2.67, or 4.1 percent, to $63.12 in afternoon trading amid a broad market decline.![]()
