Goodyear spent $350,000 on 3Q lobbying
WASHINGTON—Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. spent $350,000 in the third quarter lobbying the federal government on bills governing automobile safety data, pollution from industrial boilers and other issues, according to a recent disclosure report.
That's $100,000 less than the company spent in the same quarter last year, and $30,000 less than it spent in the second quarter of this year.
The Akron, Ohio, tire maker also lobbied the government on bus tire safety, reform of laws governing derivatives, and military contracts for ground and aircraft tires, according to a lobbying disclosure report filed Oct. 20 with the House clerk's office.
The company also lobbied both the U.S. House and Senate from July through September on standards for controlling emissions from industrial boilers, according to the report.
