WASHINGTON—Toyota Motor Corp. spent $920,000 in the third quarter lobbying on electric and other alternative energy vehicles, patent reform, biofuel legislation and other issues.
That's down 16 percent from the $1.1 million the automaker spent in the third quarter of 2010 and compares with $1.29 million it spent in the second quarter of this year. The Japanese automaker also lobbied the government on vehicle repair and various appropriations bills.
In the latest July-to-September period, Toyota lobbied both the House and the Senate, according to a report filed Oct. 19 with the House clerk's office.![]()
