TD Ameritrade CEO's pay flat at nearly $6 million
OMAHA, Neb.—Compensation for the president and CEO of TD Ameritrade stayed near $6 million last year as the online brokerage performed well in a challenging market.
The Omaha-based company described its fiscal 2011 pay for Fred Tomczyk (TOM-zick) and other top executives in documents it filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ameritrade's board said the executives deserved generous compensation because the company reported net new client assets of $41.5 billion while generating solid earnings of $1.11 per share.
Tomczyk's total compensation grew slightly to $5.98 million from $5.97 million in 2010. Stock awards worth $3.56 million accounted for the biggest share.
The AP's calculation counts salary, bonuses, perks and stock and options awarded to the executive during the year.![]()
