TRENTON, N.J.—New Jersey wine-drinkers can start getting their merlot and pinot grigio sent to their homes.
Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday signed a bill to allow small out-of-state wineries and New Jersey vineyards to ship their products directly to customers' homes.
The law is intended to boost sales in New Jersey's fledgling wine industry.
The law also lets small wineries open up to 16 New Jersey retail outlets.
Lawmakers passed the bill last week over objections from liquor stores and distributors who said it would hurt their business.![]()
