February Auto Sales: Honda

TORRANCE, Calif.—American Honda Motor Co. said Thursday that its February vehicle sales rose 7.8 percent from the same month a year earlier, led by the Civic car and the CR-V sport-utility vehicle.
BY THE NUMBERS: Honda sold 110,157 vehicles last month compared with 98,059 in the same month last year. Sales of Honda cars and trucks rose 8.8 percent, while sales in the Acura division grew just 0.1 percent.
TOP SELLERS: The company sold 27,828 Civics and 24,759 CR-V SUVs.
HOT MODELS: Civic sales jumped 36 percent from the same month in 2011, and the model passed the larger Accord as the company's best-selling car. Accord sales slipped 6.3 percent to 20,702. CR-V sales grew 24.5 percent.
