TD Ameritrade Feb stock trades down from year ago

OMAHA, Neb.—Online brokerage TD Ameritrade says it Online brokerage TD Ameritrade says it handled more stock trades in February than it did in January, but trading activity remains slower than last year.
The Omaha-based company reported Thursday on its February activity.
TD Ameritrade says it handled an average of 409,000 trades per day in February. That's 10 percent lower than last February, but 9 percent higher than this January.
At the end of February, the company held $441.8 billion in client assets. That's 8 percent higher than a year ago, and 4 percent higher than January of this year.
TD Ameritrade charges fees on the transactions it handles, and it charges fees based on client assets in certain accounts.
