Back Bay bites Apple
Source: Boston Globe

See that building with the blue awnings? It was built in 1906 and has been renovated many times. Does it look historical? Does it look like it should be preserved? That's what the Back Bay Architectural Commission is saying. They gave Apple a "cool reception" when Apple presented their plan to raze the building so they can build a landmark Apple store in its place. Give me a break. I'm all for keeping the historic character of our fair city, but that building is nothing special. An Apple-designed store? That would be special. I knew Boston would do it's best to be provincial on this.
