Putting a dollar value on Mom

Source: CNN/Money

Exploding.jpgNo one works harder than a Mom. And to put it in business terms we can all understand, Waltham-based Salary.com just put it in dollars. A full-time stay-at-home Mom would earn $134,121 a year if paid for all her work, an amount on a par with a top U.S. ad executive, a marketing director or a judge. A Mom who works outside the home would earn an additional $85,876 annually on top of the wages from her job. While the role is so valuable it's actually priceless, keep this in mind. The next time you're working side-by-side with a Mom remember she's also maintaining her roles as housekeeper, day-care teacher, cook, computer operator, laundry machine operator, janitor, facilities manager, van driver, chief executive and psychologist. That's a level of multi-tasking that would make the average man's head explode.
