Blog stars shift
Source: GigaOm

Within the last few days two blogging luminaries have departed their current gigs to dive into new ventures. Microsoft blogger Robert Scoble is leaving Redmond to join PodTech.net, a Silicon Valley business podcasting startup. And Om Malik says he will leave his post as journalist at Business 2.0 to accept some venture funding and strike out on his own. Technorati ranks Scoble’s blog at 22nd in the world and Om’s at 57th. Steve Rubel comments that you know this is becoming a trend when ABC News asks "Should you quit your day job to blog?"
