Texting improves teen-parent communication

Source: Mobile Guerilla

teenphone.jpg63 percent of parents who use text messaging believe that it improves their communication with their children. And 65 percent of parents who text message say they communicate more frequently with their children when they are away from home and that texting made their kids easier to reach. Having a teen I can attest - texting "BGood" is less likely to end in an argument than saying "Be good" either in person or on the phone. And just the fact that Cingular commissioned this study and wrote this texting guide for parents means that they get that texting is a profitable cultural force.
