Starbucks TV ads
Source: Seattle Post Intelligencer
Starbucks has always had distain for TV ads. That is, until the number of visits to their stores dropped for the first time in Starbucks history, following a price increase in July. Now converted, Starbucks says their new TV ads are "so holiday that it will blow you away." Even though profits this quarter are up 35 percent from last year, stock prices are dropping and competitors McDonalds and Dunkin' Donuts are coming on strong, So the question is, will those TV ads help drive you into the stores to buy those gingerbread lattes?
