Bingham McCutchen add 2d Japanese law office

The Boston law firm Bingham McCutchen LLP will combine with New Tokyo International Law Office on about Oct. 1, its second acquisition in Japan this year.

New Tokyo has 22 lawyers. Its addition brings Bingham’s total of Japanese lawyers to more than 50, Bingham said today. Earlier this year, Bingham combined with Sakai & Mimura. Bingham has a total of about 1,000 attorneys in 13 offices.

Financial terms of the latest transaction were not included in Bingham’s news release.
