[Editor's Note: This week we are featuring MassChallenge startups as the anticipation builds towards next week's MassChallenge Awards Ceremony]

Another installment in our ongoing series to help innovative MassChallenge companies get the word out about what they offer and get connected with what they need to thrive.

As we wind down MassChallenge in anticipation of the October 30th Awards Ceremony, I have time to reflect on how the program helped our company, ViralGains, thrive in Boston’s vibrant innovation economy.

ViralGains uses programmatic buying to place your video on publishers where targeted audiences discover your content and fall in love with your brand. We designed our collaborative technology for creative, PR, and media agencies to maximize each dollar they spend and made it accessible for brands of all sizes. We deliver Viral Marketing at scale through technology that measures how consumers watch, share, and talk about video content. Our platform is the first of its kind that maximizes views, shares, and conversations in real time for YouTube content. We were founded in 2012 and are headquartered in Boston’s beautiful Innovation District.

ViralGains benefitted from the MassChallenge accelerator in more ways than I can count. The program is in the habit of offering an endless supply of resources to help companies succeed.

Our team encountered everything from successful speakers, live workshops, mentorship, and support from sponsors like Microsoft and UPS.

The press is invaluable. During the program, our team made appearances on NECN and on Scott Kirsner’s program the Entrepreneur’s Grill.

My favorite moment from the program is CEO Brian Halligan’s presentation on his growing success with his company HubSpot. Brian was a standout speaker for me as we share the marketing and advertising technology category in common.

Ultimately, business is about numbers, and MassChallenge helped us reach astronomically high numbers. In four months, we generated $350,000+ of bookings and received over $400,000 in angel funding.

MassChallenge is easily the best program for emerging companies in Boston. One of the keys to MassChallenge’s success as a program is their ability to work with companies from different industries. We have been lucky to work alongside companies in energy, life sciences, and retail.

I see bright things in the future of MassChallenge and the program has helped lay groundwork to build a strong foundation for my company. After the program, ViralGains will continue expanding its advertising technology and carrying out its own mission.

We expect to give back to the MassChallenge community as the help they provide is at no cost to its portfolio companies. MassChallenge is highly recommended to any startup or emerging company.

Jay Singh is CEO & Co-Founder of ViralGains, a company with a mission to create authentic relationships between consumers and advertisers through the power of online video.
