While the Republican lawmakers touted cost savings offered through the federal program, and ran campaigns across the country to sign up members, many Democrats critized the program as being more beneficial to large drug companies.
Those affected, mainly senior citizens and disabled people, expressed frustration in navigating the new drug program.
