The Hatch Awards are a 49-year-old awards show that recognizes the best in advertising and marketing in the New England area. For this year's show, advertising trade group The Ad Club is adding a new category to the awards - The People's Choice Award. Boston.com readers voted, and Mullen's ad for the Boston Bruins emerged the winner, beating out the other 9 competitors for the award after more than 40,000 grades were cast. The Mullen team that created the ad will be presented an award at the 2009 Hatch Awards show on October 6 at the Seaport World Trade Center.
