The four C's: carat
Once you've begun to look at rings, jewelers will tell you there are four C's to consider. The first, carat, refers to the unit of measure used to weigh diamonds. Ask.com recommends purchasing a slightly smaller diamond than planned for a large cost savings. For instance, a 1.9 carat diamond will be cost considerably less than a 2 carat diamond and the size difference is hard to detect.
