The four C's: color
The color of a diamond also contributes to its cost. Diamonds are ranked on GIA's diamond color-grading scale where they are ranked from colorless to yellow. The closer a diamond reaches colorless, the more rare and expensive it is. White diamonds look stunning in platinum settings, while warmer-colored diamonds are accentuated by gold.
