Boston's City Hall Plaza - past and future

After years of false starts, a new effort is underway to revitalize Boston's City Hall Plaza by planting dozens of new trees, revamping the Government Center MBTA station, and creating possibilities for cafe tables and a new bicycle facility. Click through to see architectural renderings of the proposed plans, images of the city before Government Center existed, and original designs of the area when it was first being conceived in the 1950s and '60s. Then, share your ideas about what you think should be done to the plaza.
