And, of course, there's beer. Irish companies have produced brews of all kinds, but they're best known for their stouts. The most famous brand, Guinness, began almost 250 years ago in Dublin. But some smaller brands have also cultivated a following, including Murphy's and Beamish, which were first produced in Cork more than a 150 years ago.
