Logan's key security milestones
October 2009: Logan issues identification badges to airport workers who are only in the public areas of the airport, such as bus shuttle drivers and concession employees. TSA tests a vehicle explosive-screening program at the Woods Hole ferry.
December 2009: TSA begins yearlong upgrade of checkpoint technology, improving x-ray machines and explosive trace detection swabs, and adds liquid scanners to screen medically necessary liquids.
