Boston's original robo garages
The Hayward Place Garage opened in March, 1958, and was billed as "the world's largest mechanical parking facility." It used "push-button parking" by means of five high-speed elevators. Capacity: 707 parking bays. Now a surface parking lot, it is expected to be developed into a mixed-use building, including offices or condos.
